SEI Model
Christ-Centered Emotional Intelligence Development
At Adventist Christian Academy, we believe that nurturing social-emotional intelligence (SEI) is essential for academic success, spiritual growth, and personal development. From VPK through 12th grade, we integrate SEI with a biblical focus, helping students develop self-awareness, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills while grounding them in faith.
Our approach includes:
Morning Meetings & Emotional Check-Ins – Each day begins with guided reflection, prayer, and emotional awareness activities to foster a supportive classroom environment
Biblical Character Development – Lessons on love, kindness, and resilience are drawn from Scripture, teaching students how to navigate challenges with grace and faith.
Service & Mission Projects – Hands-on opportunities allow students to practice empathy and compassion by serving others in the community.
Conflict Resolution with Christian Principles – We use “I Messages” and restorative practices rooted in biblical teachings to promote healthy communication and problem-solving.
Calm Corners & Self-Regulation Strategies – Designated spaces in classrooms provide students with tools for managing emotions.
Engaging SEI Activities – Age-appropriate lessons, discussions, and hands-on exercises help students develop resilience, leadership skills, and healthy relationships in a Christ-centered environment.
At Adventist Christian Academy, social-emotional intelligence isn’t just an add-on—it’s woven into everything we do. By fostering Christ-centered emotional growth, we equip students to lead with wisdom, integrity, and compassion in every aspect of life.
